ProGig is built privacy-first. Your professional profile and resume live on your device, and nothing leaves it unless you explicitly choose to. This policy explains exactly what that means.

The short version. Building your profile and resume on ProGig is completely offline — your data stays on your device. It only goes online if you choose to participate as a freelancer and use ProGig on the web. Even then, your profile is end-to-end encrypted, so it's protected in transit and at rest, and we cannot read its contents.

1. Offline by default

When you use ProGig to build your profile or resume, everything you enter — your experience, skills, documents, and exported PDFs — is stored locally on your device. By default, none of it is uploaded to our servers, synced to the cloud, or shared with anyone. You can build, edit, and export your resume entirely offline.

2. When data goes online

Your data is only transmitted when you choose to. Specifically:

You decide to participate as a freelancer on the Gig side and make yourself discoverable, or
You choose to use ProGig on the web (or sync across devices), which requires storing your profile online so it can be accessed from a browser.

If you never opt into either, your data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Participating as a freelancer or enabling web access is always an explicit, opt-in choice — not the default.

3. Encryption

When you do choose web access or to participate as a freelancer, your profile is end-to-end encrypted. It is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded, stays encrypted in transit and at rest, and is only decrypted for you when you access it. We do not hold the keys needed to read your profile content.

The limited information required to operate marketplace features — for example, the parts of your profile you choose to publish to clients — is shared only as you direct, so clients can evaluate and contact you.

4. What we collect

Offline use: nothing — your profile and resume never leave your device.
Web / freelancer use: a minimal account identifier, the encrypted profile you choose to sync, and the gig and project information needed to connect you with clients (proposals, milestones, deliverables, messages).
Basic diagnostics: limited, non-identifying technical data to keep the service reliable. You can opt out where required by law.

5. How we use it

We use your information only to provide ProGig: to sync your encrypted profile across your devices, to match freelancers and clients, and to run project workspaces. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your profile content for advertising.

Payments are arranged directly between freelancers and clients outside of ProGig — we do not process or store payment details.

We don't sell or rent your personal data. We share information only: with clients or freelancers as you choose to complete a gig; with service providers who help us run the platform under strict confidentiality; or where required by law.

7. Your rights & control

Export anytime: your data is yours — export your profile and resume whenever you like.
Delete: request deletion of your online account and synced data; your local data is removed when you delete it from your device.
Opt out: stop using web/freelancer features at any time and return to fully offline use.
